Prior to his presidential election Joe Biden came to Rutgers with his ‘It’s On Us’ campaign. It was an event to raise awareness of sexual violence that happens on university campuses. Powerful first-hand accounts from victims coincided with performances from advocacy groups such as the ‘SCREAM’ theater group. Joe Biden finished with a keynote speech expressing the need for the continued investment into sexual violence resources and stressing the importance of supporting victims.
We had about a week to put this whole event together. We had to act quickly to create mock-ups of what the stage was going to look like and place orders shortly after.
Most schools had customized the campaign logo masking their own logo within It’d on Us. I took a different approach and instead added a black outline to tie into the Rutgers spirit mark.
There were many individuals involved in this event to ensure that the day was a success. It involved a lot phone calls between the branding department and the event staff that were in charge of logistics and coordination with the Joe Biden team.
